A Request!
Here we are, today too! We know that a lot of sisters are following the work of the Chapter and that you look forward to these daily information flashes. Our heartfelt thanks to all of you!
Today we have a very important request to make. We want to ask all of you, in every part of the world, to pray for our editorial team as it drafts the Chapter’s Final Document. At this moment we are in the midst of the decision-making process, but as soon as that is done everything that we chose, voted on and “retouched” has to be refashioned and well formulated so as to be translated and sent to all our communities. We are a creative assembly, like every Chapter assembly…which means that the work of the editorial team is an important and laborious task. Because of this, the sisters on the team need abundant prayer to support them!
Today we would also like to give you a glimpse of another aspect of our life here. At every Chapter, the theme of the event is presented through graphics displayed in the room in front of the Chapter hall. We use that “ante-chamber” for informal meetings and for reading newspapers, messages and information…. Being perpetually surrounded by visuals and phrases that reinforce and render current the powerful theme “Arise and set forth, trusting in the Promise” helps us to keep our attention focused on our goal, namely: to get moving in order to respond to the appeals of contemporary history, of our Congregation and, above all, of God!
